Social network for language learners launches Video and Skype

I know today the buzz has been all about the new Skype that's coming and bringing a bigger slant on video. That's interesting, but I can't afford the early adopter madness that I've been reading about today. It's clearly not ready for prime time. This news release hit my mailbox yesterday, and I like this a lot. And it's ready to roll. Local Search Behemoth InfoSpace Cashed Out

Last year when InfoSpace decided to sell off Switchboard, other directories, and their mobile services, I wondered if they were just cashing out. Yesterday’s New York Times article, “Once an Internet Giant, InfoSpace Dismantles Itself“, would appear to verify that they did indeed cash out. (more…)

A few weeks ago we linked to this HUGE news story about a lost tribe in the Amazon. Well, guess what? It was all a hoax! Awesome!The story was made up by photographer Jose Carlos Meirelles. Why did he make up the story?
