The nation’s public transportation systems logged a 5.2% jump in ridership in the second quarter, according to industry figures released this week, as record-high gas prices pushed people to take millions more trips on buses and rail systems. More bad co-op news. It appears Fable 2 will be launched sans the online co-op mode that was originally promised, but much like the recently announced news of Little Big Planet's missing feature, it will be patched later.

The Global Carbon Project (GPC) released its Climate Trends 2007 update, and there’s some sobering news within the latest update: CO2 emissions are higher than the worst-case IPCC-SRES scenario. This means we're on track to have over 4,000 ppm CO2, an amount of CO2 we haven't had in the air since just after the dinosaurs ruled the earth.

Wireless and Mobile News reports that according to Pew Research, election polling results can be off due to pollsters heavilly calling landline phone numbers. Cell phone users tend to be younger and willing to vote for Barack Obama. This is the first generation of election voters who may never own a landline.
