METS GIVE FANS THE FINGER

Mon, 28 Apr 2008 08:00:27 PDT
It was nice of the Mets to give out foam fingers yesterday as the finger the fans have been using so far this season was cramping up. There were no fingers extended yesterday as it was also Turn Back The Clock Day as Carlos Delgado went Blue Jay on the Braves yesterday with two round trippers. Kudos to Delgado for NOT stepping out of the dugout for a curtain call I have more respect for him now that he DIDN’T come out than if he did. Seriously Mets fans, what do you expect, the guy gets the shi

Mon, 28 Apr 2008 07:59:47 PDT
Wounded Soldier Ride » by TXPoet in: FHK Have you even heard of the “Wounded Warrior Project”? The history of the Soldier’s Ride starts in 2004 and is on their website. One event this year was a three-day bicycle race from the “White House to the Lighthouse” at Annapolis Maryland via Walter Reed Army Hospital and Baltimore MD. It is not just the event I want to bring to your attention but the despicable lack of news on the event by the liberal mainstream media. An event to publicize the he

The trouble with doom-and-gloom predictions

Sun, 27 Apr 2008 16:00:53 PDT
The trouble with doom-and-gloom predictions -- whether they be about oil shortages, food scarcity, water wars or population explosions --is that most are based on the linear extrapolation of short-term trends. Sat, 19 Apr 2008 12:12:04 PDT
Diary time again. Wednesday afternoon, I ended up doing something I had never done before, and the only reason was because the Pope was visiting America. Normally, I would be indifferent to such a thing, and it was exactly my complete indifference that drove me to this point. You see, when I eat lunch in my house, I eat in my living room, usually around 12.30 or 1.00, while I watch television, often the news. It's usually the only television I watch in the course of a day, unless it's Thursday,
